Variables
Green-winged Teal
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with more than 1%
wetlands and wet shrubland and with both varied terrain and whose
most extensive land cover type occupies more than 34% of the
hexagon. Where only a little wetlands and wet shrubland is present, its
distribution was associated mostly with a May maximum temperature
(hex. med.) of 19-23 C. Among hexagons with no wetlands and wet
shrubland, its distribution mostly corresponded to April precipitation
(hex. avg.) of 13-75 mm and July minimum temperature (hex. max.) of
12-13 C. The logistic regression analysis showed positive or negative
association with wetlands and wet shrubland, Douglas-fir - w. hemlock
- red cedar forest, elevation (hex. avg.), number of land cover types,
topographic variation, the extent of public land, and April precipitation
(hex. med.).
